AFRICAN PYGMY HEDGEHOGS
We find our little hedgies to be the most amazing animals!
They a cute, cute face with a personality to match! Hedgehogs can be a bit prickly, but they are great for practicing patience as we wait for them to uncurl from their proctective balls. Once uncurled, they love to walk and explore!
His little back is covered with rows of short prickly spines
His belly is covered with very, very soft fur
When threatened, he rolls in to a tight ball with just a mass of spines poking out (he looks like a sea urchin!)
When relaxed, the spines lay almost flat and he is quite pet-able at this time!
